We are currently seeking a Sr Assoc, Mechanical Engineer (H/M).
Otis is developing its activity and is looking for a mechanical design technician (M/F) to join one of our entities located in Madrid, our European production and modernization center which develops and supplies complete devices and their components as well as products intended for the modernization of existing elevators.
On a daily basis, your missions are as follows:
Reporting to the Head of the Mechanical Department of the Lead Design Center Europe based in Madrid, within an AGILE team of engineers and technicians, the mechanical design technician is in charge of product design and development. It creates technical files linked to customer requests to produce them at the factories in Gien in France or Madrid in Spain.
Its missions, mainly focused on product design and development, are:
Participate in the pre-study phase: search for prior information and understanding of the specifications
Collaborate with customers to take into account different requirements.
Propose a concept validated by all Customers.
Take into account the standards
Participate in the study and planning phase
Creation of technical files with fixed concepts
CAD assembly trough CREO
Launch qualification tests
Participate in the "qualification and preparation for product authorization" phase
Consider the improvements detected during the prototyping stages.
Process quality feedback from the site or manufacturing
To be successful in this role:
Education:
Preferably holding a high school diploma +2 or 3 years in Mechanical design, you will have several years of experience in the product development environment.
Experience:
Experience with "systems", products combining several technologies including mechanical, electrical, electronic is an advantage.
Technical knowledge and development tools are skills necessary for the success of your mission.
Your technical English is fluent (TOEIC level B2 minimum). The team in which you will work is made up of people of different nationalities.
