Medical Affairs Senior Manager, Spain & Portugal, like you.


Role Mission


As a Senior Medical Affairs Manager the main purpose of your role will be to build partnerships with external healthcare professionals mainly in Spain and Portugal, to communicate evidence based critical scientific, technical and development issues relating to Grifols Biopharma products which are or will be marketed.


What your responsibilities will be

  • Develop and execute local medical affairs plans in alignment with local business objectives, guided by a senior colleague.
  • May coordinate MSLs in the region and will have a dual role in the case is needed
  • Medical lead building and maintaining the relationships with scientific thought leaders in the region
  • Manage scientific events like regional advisory boards or other scientific meetings: symposia, webinars or standalone meetings.
  • Provides medical content for medical education programs
  • Responsible to participate in internal training programs to ensure medical and scientific understanding of the products in the respective countries.
  • Attends local and regional (or global when needed) medical conferences on the respective disease areas and provides reports from these meetings for internal stakeholders.
  • Provides scientific responses to enquiries by internal and external customers.
  • When required be the regional medical representative at strategic meetings, Medical Affairs meetings or subsidiaries commercial meetings.
  • Responsible for the accuracy of the medical content of marketing materials. Medical function in the sign off process of marketing materials.
  • Country level management of Grifols Research programs, including ISR, RWE, Research grants, Scientific Awards and educational grants
  • Partner with Patient advocacy, Regulatory and Market Access to support country /regional needs
  • If required, manage the budget
  • Ensure compliance with Grifols processes and regulations.

Who you are

  • Advance University degree in Biology, Pharmacy or Medicine (PharmD, PhD, MD)
  • Background in pharmaceutical industry in medical/scientific affairs
  • At least 5 years of experience in a similar position in the pharma industry
  • Solid knowledge of medical/pharmaceutical basics with highest ethical standards.
  • Scientific understanding (literature, clinical and basic research etc.)
  • Advanced communication and relation building skills
  • Presentation skills
  • Good English language skills (spoken and written)
  • Computer skills
  • Willingness to travel

Flexible schedule:
Monday-Thursday 7-10 to 16-19h and Friday 8-15h.
