The Data Analyst will direct the preparation of data-driven insights for business decision makers to help develop business intelligence, optimize effectiveness and/or predict business outcomes.
The role will drive the analysis of data to support the process they are enabling through the identification, analysis and interpretation of trends or patterns and prepare ongoing reports and data visualizations to aid in complex data storytelling.
The role may involve the creation, maintenance and/or improvement of exploratory analytics statistical models for ongoing and ad hoc review and analysis of data.
The role will work with direct supervision from senior team members.Typical Accountabilities
- Work with consumers / business users on the definition of the data requirements for intended data solutions. Able to translate unstructured business problems into a data design and solution
- Ad hoc wrangling of data (sourcing, extraction, profiling, integration) to support Omnichannel execution campaign and impact understanding, business insights and Data Science model generation
- Translation of business problems into the appropriate analytics problem and solutions in the project scope
- Build and manage effective relationships with a range of stakeholders to ensure utilization and value of information resources and services. Clearly and objectively communicate results, as well as their associated uncertainties and limitations
- Provide expertise in exploratory, descriptive and predictive data analytics to crossfunctional projects and shape delivery of solutions that drive business value
- Develop visualizations and tools to support and deliver innovative and complex analytical solutions
- Support Customer Engagement and Brands on campaign strategy and planning with audience insights analysis, sizing and research using digital related data tools across multiple devices and media channels
- Monitoring of KPIs to assess the ROI of digital activities from the customer and AstraZeneca perspective to continuously improve and personalize our digital offerings

Education, Qualifications, Skills and Experience
Essential
- Bachelors Degree in relevant discipline or equivalent years of experience
- Working experience with web analytics and media analytics is required (13 yrs)
- Demonstrated knowledge of database systems (eg SQL, NoSQL, graph)
- Demonstrated handson experience with PBI. Microstrategy and Data Studio is a plusExperience using Adobe Analytics/Google Analytics, GTM,
- Knowledge of Marketing Activation tools and its data model (Adobe Campaign, Twilio, Sendgrid,)
- Knowledge of Customer Data Platforms
- Excellent written and verbal communication, business analysis, and consultancy skills
Desirable
- Masters Degree in Mathematics, Computer Science, Engineering, Physics, Statistics, Economics, or a related quantitative discipline.
- Comfortable working in high performance computing or cloud environment
- Working experience with Python or R
- Experience in life sciences and healthcare
