Centro Nacional de Supercomputación (BSC-CNS) is the leading supercomputing center in Spain. It houses MareNostrum, one of the most powerful supercomputers in Europe, was a founding and hosting member of the former European HPC infrastructure PRACE (Partnership for Advanced Computing in Europe), and is now hosting entity for EuroHPC JU, the Joint Undertaking that leads largescale investments and HPC provision in Europe. The mission of BSC is to research, develop and manage information technologies in order to facilitate scientific progress. BSC combines HPC service provision and R&D into both computer and computational science (life, earth and engineering sciences) under one roof, and currently has over 900 staff from 55 countries.

Context And Mission
To achieve these goals, truly predictive tools using HPC would be of significant value and therefore highfidelity modelling and simulations using HPC are at the central part of the activities expected from the applicant. The industrial aspects of these tools is critial, so we will valorate the experience in industrial R&D projects.
The applicant will be coordinating the Dual Technologies Group at CASE Department of BSC. CASE Department is a multidisciplinary group with more than 100 researchers from all disciplines and with strong background in Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD). The Dual Technologies Group is formed by postdoctoral researchers and several PhD and MSc students and is actively working in many EU and industrial projects. The main role of the applicant will be to conduct high level research and coordinate the activities addressing fundamental challenges from the power and propulsion sectors.
Key Duties
Scientific and project coordination of the activities of the Dual Technologies Group.
High Level of conection with key industries of this sector
Seek for national, and international financing from industry and academia.
Coordination of other groups at CASE involved in these projects

Requirements:

Education
Essential Knowledge and Professional Experience
Advanced knowledge on numerical methods and IA techniques
Advanced computational skills and parallel programming for HPC
Experience in the coordination and management of scientific and industrial projects from the national and EU level.
Competences
Fluency in spoken and written English and Spanish, while fluency in other European languages will be also valued.
