Our Expert Services practice provides industry and technical insights to win disputes related to contractual, fiduciary, or related obligations and prepares expert analysis to help clients understand, prevent, and manage fraud.

We are often brought in on complex court cases to value damages or help establish liability in the context of intellectual property, lost profits, class action/securities fraud, breach of contract, or economic anti-trust disputes.

A member of our team will often submit an expert report and provide expert testimony in trial, and you will provide vital support for these efforts.


RESPONSIBILITIES:


Expert Services Interns work on a variety of assignments, including the preparation of expert reports for tribunals or arbitration process, in a context of a legal dispute (breach of contract, early termination agreement, shareholders disputes ).

We offer a 6 months internship period (January - July 2023)

  • Daytoday project management assistance of assignments
  • Providing accounting, financial, economic or quantitative advice to help progress cases
  • Conduct industry research in order to gain an understanding of the drivers that affect value and creditworthiness of the involved parties
  • Assist in the development and/or the evaluation of damages claims and calculations
  • Organize and analyze large data sets to provide meaningful conclusions
  • Draft of internal and external communications,
  • Assisting with performing valuation analysis on a wide range of public and private entities within various industries using accepted and relevant approaches and theory
  • Working with financial models for discounted cash flow, market multiple, or market transaction
  • Independently gathering data pertinent to the engagement through direct client interaction and client site visits
  • Assisting in preparing and presenting the results of our analysis in a clear and concise manner
  • Assisting with the development of proposals, presentations and publications communicated to current and prospective clients
  • Performing indepth client, industry, market and competitor research
  • Build internal and client relationships

REQUIREMENTS:


  • Currently Studying double degree (Business Administration + Law), business administration + Master and/or economics.
  • You are characterized by superior analytical and problemsolving skills as well as capacity for teamwork and personal commitment
  • Fluent in both Spanish and Excellent English (written and spoken). Other languages would be an advantage.
  • You are very familiar with MS-Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint). Strong Excel skills
  • The ability to explain complex, technical issues in an understandable manner
  • A logical and methodical approach to problem solving, as well as being able to develop innovative solutions to complex problems
  • Ability to work well independently, and experience working with diverse teams
  • Strong interpersonal, written and oral communication skills
  • Demonstrated commitment to obtaining outstanding results
  • Flexibility to travel, as needed
