The Barcelona Institute for Global Health (ISGlobal) is a cutting-edge institute addressing global public health challenges through research, translation into policy and education.

ISGlobal has a broad portfolio in communicable and non-communicable diseases including environmental and climate determinants, and applies a multidisciplinary scientific approach ranging from the molecular to the population level.

Research is organized in the following main areas, Malaria and other Infectious Diseases, Maternal, Child and reproductive Health, Urban Health and Child and environmental health, Climate & Non-Communicable Diseases.

ISGlobal is accredited with the Severo Ochoa distinction, a seal of excellence of the Spanish Science Ministry.

Specific Requirements:


  • Master's degree in health sciences, public health, or global health
  • Training in research methods
  • Comfortable in an international and multicultural environment
  • Willing to learn and grow while facing challenges as a learning opportunity
  • Strong Englishlanguage skills (speaking, reading, and writing)
  • Fluency in Spanish
  • Catalan desirable

Specific Duties:


  • Support the PI in the daily functioning of projects related to viral hepatitis, community based care, and migrant health. ,
  • Coordinate daily activities, including data collection and management, coordination and logistics of study implementation
  • Data management and preparation of analytical plan(s) and statistical analysis
  • Management of agenda and scheduling of meetings/calls and submission deadlines including for research proposals
  • Support grant proposal writing on topics relating to viral hepatitis, community based care, and migrant health
  • Preparation of project proposals, reports and drafting project results
  • Preparation of presentations
  • Copyediting and language revision
  • Supervision of master's students and research assistants

Auxiliar tasks:


  • Facilitate communication and coordination among investigators including the study group(s) RedCap data base
  • Liaise with other research groups at ISGlobal and abroad as relevant
  • Participate in ISGlobal seminars, meetings, workshops and training activities
  • Willingness to travel minimum 23 times a year.
