Ferrovial Construction is internationally recognized for its capacity to design and build civil engineering and construction projects, mainly in large transportation infrastructure.

Its track-record to date includes more than 304 miles of tunnels, 11,930 miles of roads (including 2,485 miles of highways), 2920 miles of railroad lines (including 434 miles of high-speed railroads) and 16,994 miles of road maintenance and repair.

**The incumbent will lead interactions and serve as an interface with Project Directors, Area/Senior Project Managers, Finance Directors and in general with Project and Countries leadership teams to establish and maintain controls and processes that ensure projects are safely delivered on time, within budget and anticipating any risk that may change the expected outcomes using adequate metrics. The incumbent will be report to BU committee and will be responsible for providing guidance through the entire project life cycle, from opportunity identification to handover.


Main Responsibilities:

Project Strategy: Provide strategic leadership and management nationally to the procurement strategies for work winning, with specific attention given to the exposure and risk factors associated with subcontractor insolvency. Provide strategic guidance to the regions on alternate strategic partnerships that are available across multiple geographies.

Project Management:Track, maintain, and update high level schedules, including budget, cost information, Critical Path analysis, and risk assessment to ensure optimum project development and performance.

Project control: Identify and report schedule issues, coordinating with Project Controls Managers, and fostering relationships with different stakeholders to ensure the successful project completion.

Project positioning:Develop, maintain and oversee the Project SWOT Analysis tracking market positions of competitors and utilising this information to strategically inform the region in relation to market positions, pipeline guidance and potential emerging markets for Ferrovial.

Resource Management: Conduct regular reviews of project costs and cash flow, ensuring that all outgoings are accounted for. Undertake regular resource planning to track utilisation of staff ensuring productivity objectives are met.

Performance:Monitor and control the project performance, schedule, budget, quality, safety, and risk management.

Project Governance:Prepare and present project governance and performance reports and documentation to internal and external stakeholders.

Risk Management: Ensure implementation of a consistent risk management methodology across all geographies under their area of management.

Reporting:Develop and manage project reporting methods. Ensure reporting across different areas is consistent and that all stakeholders receive the relevant information using a single source of truth.

Capability Building: Use Ferrovial's formal development framework to identify the team's development needs. Plan and implement actions to build professional capabilities. Provide informal training or coaching to others in own area of expertise to enable others to improve performance and fulfill personal potential.

Leadership and Direction: Identify and communicate the actions necessary to implement the strategy and business plan for own area of responsibility; explain the relationship with the mission, vision and broader values of Ferrovial; motivate people to commit to making Ferrovial a better company every day and to do extraordinary things to achieve Ferrovial's business goals.
