Job Description:

This is a unique opportunity for an interim management role, until end of 2024 (it may be extended a bit further for completion).
The Engineering & Maintenance Lead leads the Engineering organization, which is responsible to establish, maintain and improve the engineering processes in the cluster with respect to buildings, equipment, utilities and energy
Strategy & Organizational Development:
Mission & Vision of Engineering department
Objective setting / performance management for Engineering department (Engineering, Maintenance, Automation)
Ensure availability of competent, high performing people and develop the talent pool
Technical career path of Engineering personnel
Inspection readiness of Engineering department
Ensure technical training of Engineering personnel: training curricula, training execution in line with NMM practice
Develop and maintain job descriptions of Engineering personnel
Support internal and external audits
Ensure Compliance with Quality Manual / Quality Modules / GOPs / NMM etc.
Implement standards
Implement GOPs
If needed, create regional / site SOPs & templates
Implement sharing and leveraging of best practices and expertise
Own the Training Curriculum for own Job Profile

Maintenance & Calibration:

Drive / improve technical availability, reliability and condition of assets
Establish cost efficient repair and maintenance processes in compliance with local regulations, HSE, GMP
Define and execute asset strategy and proper asset lifecycle management

Vendor & Contractor Management:

Develop contractual strategy and framework to manage vendors / contractors and corresponding contracts

Project Engineering & Control:

Manage investment budget & project portfolio for region
Lead investment review committees for region
Develop project execution strategy and execute investment projects according to customer

needs (costs, schedule, functionality, quality)

Technical Services Operations:
Drive / improve Technical Services (infrastructure, utilities), availability, reliability

System & Tools (Automation):

Manage, coordinate and customize of centrally shared systems / databases to provide

Professional infrastructure for design, installation, qualification and lifecycle management of facilities and equipment- Annual Succession plan in place and robust.

Technical training program in place and executed.
GOP implementation progress tracked, milestones implemented on time, evidence provided.
All related SOPs are implemented on time.
No critical/major observations during internal and external GMP inspections and Pre-Approval Inspections (PAI).
No critical findings in internal / external audits on qualifications.
Highest safety standard implemented during projects and operations, no critical findings in HSE audits, no LTI and SIF.
Adherence to global / regional / site KPI.
CAPEX Project on time, budget, quality.
Equipment availability, reliability, effectiveness.
Meet maintenance cost efficiency.

Minimum Requirements:

Degree in Engineering (Dipl. Ing / M.Sc / B. Sc) or equivalent
Languages: Spanish and English

Experience:

Leadership experience (successful project management) on major investment projects and/or large maintenance organization
Excellent project management skills including contract management and project appraisal / financial knowledge
Excellent communication skills, ability to effective present complex ideas and solutions to executive management, technical experts and regional / local teams
