Context And Mission

Key Duties

  • Provide support to the lab to conduct cuttingedge research
  • Help publishing results in highprofile scientific journals
  • Collaborate with various international research groups

Requirements:


  • Education
Degree in Bioinformatics, Biotechnology or any field related to biomedicine.

Master's thesis in bioinformatics.

  • Essential Knowledge and Professional Experience
Strong programming skills including proficiency in programming with bash, python, R, Perl, or similar, and/or experience working in HPC clusters

Some experience with Next Generation Sequencing data analysis

  • Additional Knowledge and Professional Experience
Excellent communication skills in spoken and written English

  • Competences
Capacity to contribute to research projects with novel research ideas and analysis

Capacity to work as a team in a highly collaborative and diverse environment

Conditions

  • The position will be located at BSC within the Life Sciences Department
  • We offer a fulltime contract (37.5h/week), a good working environment, a highly stimulating environment with stateoftheart infrastructure, flexible working hours, extensive training plan, restaurant tickets, private health insurance, support to the relocation procedures
  • Duration: Openended contract due to technical and scientific activities linked to the project and budget duration
  • Holidays: 23 paid vacation days plus 24th and 31st of December per our collective agreement
  • Starting date: asap
