Technical Architect - IT - 6 + Contract (extensions likely) - Valencia (remote/ hybrid)


New long term contract opportunity for a technology expert to work with internal stakeholders and end customers in preparing a map of IT resources and business procedures for 2023 and beyond.

Experience with technical architecture would be ideal, and for this role you can work fully remote for the duration of the contract.

Single stage Teams interviews will take place in January for a February onboarding.


The client is part of a global organisation and has some excellent staff and freelancers providing a variety of technical and professional services.


Technical Architect (Enterprise) Responsibilities:


Conduct and moderate workshops with client and internal stakeholders to get a common understanding of business needs and possible solutions.

Establish technology strategy and roadmap.

Work closely with business and IT stakeholders to gather continuous feedback and help drive programs and teams toward a shared technical vision.

Define an enterprise IT architecture model combining business and technical inputs, existing standards, and the current technical landscape for the client and its partners.

Manage and perform research and discovery activities, vet ideas, explore emerging technologies relevant to strategic and technical improvement.

Communicate "big picture" to Business and IT stakeholders at all levels of the organization to achieve the target architecture and roadmap, in budget and on time.


About you:

5 + years experience implementing / managing Enterprise Architecture and Technology Standards programs, Architecture Strategy, Roadmap and technologies.
Leadership experience - either leading or as a part of Enterprise Architecture team for large scale enterprise architecture efforts.
Digital transformation.
Working with internal/external stakeholders to understand what's important and required within IT environment for successful outcomes.
TOGAF 9 Certification.
Knowledge of Project management, Prince2, ITIL, SCRUM, Design Thinking etc.
Strong writing and visual communications skills, presentation skills and deep analytical skills.
Pre-sales, Proposal drafting.
Atlassian - Jira, Confluence, Azure DevOps
Ability to work fully remote or onsite in Valencia, Spain (if you wish).
