The incorporation of the selected person would be made to the Hydrogen and Power-to-X department of the research center.- Develop an attractive research agenda in the CFD field
- Creation of CFD simulations for various types of energy storage and hydrogen technologies
- Collaborations with experimental researchers from CIIAE and other centers
- Provide recommendations to decision makers based on modeling results
- Acquisition of competitive funding, both private and public, for example, PhD students and postdocs
- Successful collaboration with universities, research institutes and companies nationally and internationally
- Successful orientation of doctoral, postdoctoral and master students, that is, who meet their own requirements
- Write publications as first author (for example, 1 article per year in a high impact journal)
- Project management and project administration (internal and external), also for the department and CIIAE
Among the main scientific challenges in CFD, it is worth noting the development of transient and multi-scale models that can reliably predict the performance and durability of energy storage and hydrogen conversion systems.

Requisitos
The selected person is required to have:
- Doctorate in Engineering (chemistry, energy, industrial, physics, mathematics or related discipline.
- At least 2 years of postdoctoral experience.
- Proven experience in the acquisition and/or drafting of competitive project proposals, for example, consortium projects and/or fellowships.
- Proven experience supervising doctoral and/or master's students (for example, as a daily supervisor).
- Excellent knowledge of physics and chemistry applied to energy storage, for example, electrochemistry, combustion, heat transfer and fluid dynamics
- Excellent analytical skills and experience in CFDs, e.g., Ansys and/or Comsol
- Programming experience, e.g. Python and Matlab
- Statistical skills, for example, statistical tests and regression
- Excellent analytical skills
- Demonstrated participation in at least 3 R&D projects
- Excellent oral and written communication skills in English
- Ability to lead a team towards funding and goals
- Commitment to open science in terms of research methods, data and publications
- Proven experience with industry collaborations and/or previous experience working in the industry
- Experience in collaboration with other colleagues from the same department, center and other institutions
- At least 10 publications in journals indexed in Scopus
¿Qué ofrecemos?
Contract until September 2025, but with the possibility of continuing to be part of the centre in the long term.
