Job Description:

As a Chassis Design engineer, member of the Chassis Systems Design team of Applus IDIADA, your mission will be being involved in Brakes development (Foundation or Modulation)

Your main responsibilities will be:

Component ownership for one or more brakes component.
Ensure an appropriate packaging for the components
Manage the technical definition and the diversity of the assigned components
Change management of the BOM.
Supplier management.
Generate part numbers in the system according to the technical definition
Support mule and prototype vehicles assembly as required.
Generate the orders for prototypes according to project milestones
Writing technical/scientific documentation and monitoring reports.
Participation in project meetings and in crossfunctional design reviews.
Work alongside other technical departments.
Work on the 3D models to make studies or suggest modifications to the suppliers.

Qualifications:

Education

University degree: Bachelor or Master Degree in Engineering. Specialised in Mechanics or in Automotive.

Language Skills

Fluent English
French highly desired

Profile Requirements

Previous automotive OEM experience in brakes components (Tier 1 component experience also considered)
Understanding of OEM processes and gateways.
CATIA V5 2D/3D skills. (3D experience highly beneficial)
Knowledge of GD&T principles and tolerance analysis
Good communication skills and confident in discussions at different levels
Recognizable empathy, with team spirit, and with high level of assertiveness
Committed, goal driven, with successful result orientation and with strong service orientation.
Open to work in a very international company with multicultural team
A proactive attitude
