Opportunity


As a Global Medical Director working on the Global Medical Affairs team, you will be accountable for the medical strategy and its implementation for the significant global brand.

It is essential to establish strong partnerships with Commercial and Clinical stakeholders in establishing a medical strategy which is wholly aligned with the cross-functional plan.

Excellent collaboration and exchange with countries and the Regions is crucial in order to ensure the execution of the global strategy at local level and to ensure that countries needs are reflected in the global strategy.


Responsibilities

  • Contribute to annual brand priorities and the Global Medical Affairs strategy
  • Collect internal and external insights to inform the Medical strategy, global development and regulatory strategy, including input from the Regional/Local Operating Company Medical Directors
  • Provide support and assist a successful launch and life cycle management of marketed product
  • Drive alignment on medical content/messaging within the organization to ensure maximal functional and regional input
  • Develop assigned brandrelated clinical content material for medical education, medical communication, and publications
  • Drive medical affairs activity connected to the best scientific publication process, medical education and global medical congress activity
  • Collaborate with global, regional and local internal cross functional stakeholders
  • Build strong relationship with EU medical teams and support local needs
  • Provide scientific support and guidance to the MSL teams
  • Support Access teams with medical/scientific expertise
  • Perform medical reviews of (non)promotional materials
  • Liaise with Medical Information team on medical requests
  • Follow up on operational aspects of early access programs
  • Represent Medical affairs as needed at Global Brand Team and other crossfunctional teams
  • Provide medical advice for all study types which are being planned and conducted in responsibility of the Global Medical Affairs organisation
  • Manage investigator initiated trial program
  • Provides medical leadership for external interactions with stakeholders including key opinion leaders, advisory boards, academic groups, scientific societies, and patient advocacy groups
  • Build and Maintain Global External Expert network
  • Develop Key Opinion Leader (KOL) engagement plans
  • Ensure global TL development programs

Skills/Knowledge/Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in Multiple Myeloma
  • Medical doctor (physician), pharmacist or PhD in relevant life science field
  • Minimum of 5 years' experience in medical affairs function
  • Strong synthesis skills on interpretation of scientific data
  • Experienced in writing scientific publications
  • Experience with phase 24 study conduct, medical review of noninterventional studies, writing of clinical study reports
  • Act with a sense of urgency and hands on attitude
  • EU home based, willing and able to travel extensively at times
  • Excellent command of English language is a must
  • Excellent communication skills with a proven track record in influencing without authority is required.
  • Extensive prior experience working on crossfunctional remote teams is a must.
  • Demonstrable capabilities in navigating complex organizations particularly those going through significant change or creation.
