Technical Service Representative:

As Technical Service Representative you are going to report to Technical Support Manager Iberia, at PPG Protective & Marine Coatings.

Note:
This position may involve extensive travelling across EMEA and South America.

Key Responsibilities

Ensure that at all times the guidelines, as provided by the Field Technical Service Department BUPMC are followed
To keep accurate and detailed records of the project(s) and have the information correctly transferred to the right standard reporting forms in time, in order to ensure that PPG interests areprotected.
To attend the assigned projects and conduct his job in an accurate and professional manner.
In case of any deviation of the specified standards which may or could be the cause of a claim or complaint, immediately inform the responsible Field Technical Service Manager providing all relevant information.
To give technical assistance to all parties involved on site (i.e. yard, contractor / subcontractor, and any other user of our products) in respect to our products.
To keep updated on the Sigma Coatings / Amercoat and Freitag products, systems and procedures and use this to the benefit of PPG PMC.
To pass on any relevant information of the Sigma Coatings / Amercoat and Freitag or competitors' products to the Country Field Technical Service Manager or Global Field Technical Service Manager (Global FTS Office).
To be aware of the content of the Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS), and be familiar with the local safety rules and regulations and follow them
To handle complaints carefully and in such a way that your actions and verbal or written reports/ comments do not result in a commitment or assumption of responsibility that is outside of your authorities, which could result in PPG PMC being held liable.
In case of complaint (potential claim) the responsible Field Technical Service Manager must be informed (involved) immediately.

Qualifications

Education level : High school / Polytechnic School / Shipsofficer or seaman qualification or similar
Experience : Protective Coatings and Marine / Yard or Contractor experience with a coating background /certified FROSIO III or NACE
Microsoft Word / Excel / Email & Internet communication
Fluency in business English
Decisionmaking, problem solving whilst safeguarding PPG interests
Customeroriented
