Job Description Summary:

The Commissioning Remote Operation Center (ROC) manager will lead the ROC team, including ROC supervisors and ROC operators to execute remote commissioning tasks and assure 24/7 remote operation service with high level of performance.


The ROC manager will be responsible for delivering, maintaining, and improving the technical documentation, used by Remote Operation Centre (ROC).


The
ROC manager will work closely with the EHS Dpt, the technical back offices (Engineering and Technical Support) and the Site Teams to prepare the details technical procedures.


The
ROC Manager is expected to:


  • Define and deploy all processes for ROC, from initial training to final handover to Services.
  • Lead the ROC team with the ROC supervisors to manage the ROC team shifts.
  • Work with Technical Support team and Engineering department to get all the fault handling procedures and troubleshooting guides available for operating the wind turbines.
  • Collect the lessons learnt from the field technicians and ROC members to improve the FHPs and TS.
  • To work with EHS Team, Site leaders, Customers to get all the site handover procedures agreed.
  • Collaborate with Engineering Fleet Support and Technical Support Team to prepare the software upgrades or any remote tests.
  • Lead the remote operations (troubleshooting, monitoring, supervision, commissioning, vessels transfer support, interventions requests, Test Run,)
She/He will implement KPI that will characterize the effectiveness of the ROC team.


In addition, the ROC leader:

  • Will be the GE contact point for the Customer to agree on the technical scope of work of the ROC team, and to define the handover procedures with the different wind farm stakeholders.
  • Manages the IT hardware set required for ROC team.
  • Contributes to the personal development of the ROC team member

Desired Characteristics

  • A good base of Wind Turbine Generator is essential (a mix of mechanical and electrical experience is desirable).
  • A first offshore field experience will be appreciated.
  • Good knowledge of Microsoft Office is required.
  • First professional experience with CAD/PLM software will be appreciated.
  • Mark VIe experience will be appreciated.
  • Ability to work with multicultural/multidiscipline teams
  • Positive mindset with excellent verbal and written communication skills.
