We're hiring for an RtR Accountant as part of Merkle in Barcelona.


Job Description:


The Role


This is an exciting opportunity for an ambitious finance professional to join our Finance Operations hub in a fast-growing and rapidly changing organization working closely with the accounting teams (in-house and offshore).


We are seeking a person with finance and accounting background with experience working on Group reporting and intercompany accounts in a medium to large-sized corporate organization.

Life as an RtR Accountant at Merkle

  • We are a strong, high performing team within the business with a reputation for delivering financial information in a very timely manner to a high standard.
  • It's a rollup your sleeves type of role.
  • The role takes ownership of the monthly P&L, balance sheet and assist on production of management reporting, including the reporting process to our ultimate parent company, dentsu.
  • Document business processes and follow accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal controls and comply with JSOX requirements.
  • Ensure compliance with GAAP principles and audit expectations.
  • Work closely with the Controlling team to align processes and results.
  • The role will also provide support to our Media spend process.
  • You will be expected to uphold processes and procedures to ensure financial control.
  • General ad hoc activities to support the Finance and Controlling functions.

Qualifications:

What we are looking for in you

  • University Bachelor's degree Business Administration, Professional degree or assimilated.
  • Your 2+ years experience will have been gained from a mediumlargesizedized corporate business.
  • Strong IT literacy, in particular with Excel (V look ups, Pivot tables and Macros) with an aptitude for learning new technologies.
  • Selfmotivated and highly methodical, keen to learn and progress in an industryleading company.
  • Excellent organisational skills to deliver against required deadlines, capable of working on your own initiative and seeking assistance when appropriate.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Resilience to see tasks through to completion.
  • Familiar with working with offshore shared service centers will be a plus.
  • Good team working skills with the ability to work collaboratively and flexibly.
  • Excellent verbal and written English communication skills.
