**Sales & Marketing Controller PH Iberia & Italy

At Essity, within our Professional Hygiene Business Unit, we are looking for an experienced S&M Controller to join our leadership teams in the Iberia & Italy.

The position will be based in Madrid, Barcelona, Valls, or Milan.


About the Role


The Business Controller shall provide financial insight and report financial results to the organization in a timely, complete, and correct way.

This person should contribute to the development and realization of the regional strategy with the management team and should suggest actions to improve business performance.


You will be part of the PH controlling team working closely with the Senior S&M Controller of Iberia and Italy as well as the Commercial Directors in the region.

Although responsible for the country financials, you will be working in the wider Controlling team with peer Controllers responsible for France, and UK&I.

After a solid onboarding, you will replace the Senior S&M Controller for six months until her return early 2024.

After that period, you will continue to be part of the team and operate as a business controller in the region.

Your role will be enlarged, and you will play a key role in the rollout of digitalization project of the company called Essity Way of Winning (EWOW).


What You Will Do

  • Manage financial results according to the accounting standards
  • Monitor and followup on the performance and deviations and drive corrective actions where necessary
  • Challenge and supports the Management Team in all financial aspects (operational and strategic) as Business Partner by providing insights to full financial value chain
  • Contribute to monthly consolidation of the financials and consolidation of longterm financial plans
  • Drive annual budget preparation and quarterly forecasting
  • Participates in the Business unit Controlling Network, drive best practice within finance and controlling
  • Lead or participate in business improvement projects
  • Play a key role in the digitalization of Finance; EWOW

Who You Are

  • University degree, preferably in Business, Economics or Finance
  • Fluent in English
  • Experienced with and interest for financial information, reporting and planning systems
  • Strong analytical, critical thinking skills and attention to details
  • Solid verbal and written skills, able to communicate on various levels
  • Excellent stakeholder management skills
  • Performance driven on individual and organizational level
  • Enthusiastic, entrepreneurial, proactive and results oriented
  • Sales & Marketing controlling experience is a plus
  • Prepared to travel between Iberia and Italy
