Mission and main objectives:

Chassis system and component design for European region vehicles (P33B ICE/ePower, P13A ICE/eTech, H60A, PZ1D, PZ1H, WZ1L):
Brake System design, Brake Foundation components design (Calipers, Rotors, S/G, Booster)
FR/RR Axle
A,B,C Pedals

Primary Responsibilities and Activities:

Secure QCT achievement of Design activities for new model projects.
Propose, develop and implement cost reduction ideas.

Primary Work Arrangements:

Secure QCT for new model projects:
Off-Tool / Off-Process achievement according Nissan requirements
Cost target achievement in Project Phase
Ensure parts delivery to meet project milestones
Define action plan and execute the activities to solve market issues affecting above components:
Understand Market data
Define C/M to fix the concern
Lead discussions to adopt C/M at supplier and vehicle plant
CCS document preparation for reporting at Quality milestones
Coordinate the development of cost reduction ideas from concept proposal to adoption:
Participate in activities to identify new opportunities for cost reduction:
BIR activity
Tear Down / Benchmarking / Part Display
Cash & Quality, line walk activities in production plants and suppliers
Generate cost reduction ideas and conduct feasibility study
Estimate saving and calculate profit of each idea
Create development schedule and coordinate the validation activities with the affected Engineering Departments

Experience:

3 year experience working in the Development of Chassis systems & components.

Proven experience on managing quality concerns. knowledge of Problem Solving tools (FTA-PA, IS-IS NOT, F-MEA).
Background of the process to develop and introduce cost reduction ideas.

Required Knowledge & Skills:

Degree in Mechanical / Mechatronic / Industrial Engineering (preferable Master).
Knowledge of Chassis system (performance, durability) and components (Brake foundation, Axle, Pedal, suspension, steering) will be considered.

Following Technical knowledge will be considered:
G2B
Cad Data creation (Catia, NX, Solidworks)
Nissan R&D Development procedures.
Simulation tools (FMEA, parametric math models simulators)
Experience on managing suppliers for QCT achievement
Experience on collaborating with Renault on Development Projects
High Office software skills (Word, Excel, Powerpoint)
Good communication & presentation skills
High level of English (reference CAE)
Desirable Spanish/French
Availability to travel, including long stay overseas.
